In an interview with Capital FM Radio in Britain, Liam Payne said One Direction’s fifth album was going to have a sound that will remind fans of Oasis. Claiming the new disc was “coming together really well,” the O.D. mainstay claimed the CD’s new songs were “more chill” than on the hot superstars’ earlier releases.
Payne told the radio station that the new record will sound “a bit Oasis-y, almost, which is ace. Love that. The songs are coming out a bit more chill because I think we want this to be quite a long-lasting album that you can listen to anytime.”
Comparing it to the music created by Ed Sheeran, Payne added, “Anytime you throw on an Ed song, it always make sense.”
The album is expected to come out by the end of this year.
