Brad Garrett, best known for his nine-season role as Ray Romano’s brother Robert Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond” on CBS, is heading to our area to promote his new memoir, “When the Balls Drop.” The comedian and actor will be the star attraction at a program organized by Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, set for 7 p.m. May 8 at the Hollywood Palms Cinema. Tickets to that event are required and are available at the bookstore’s 123 W. Jefferson location in downtown Naperville or at andersonsbookshop.com.
Also available are reservations for a special luncheon event earlier May 8 at the Standard Club in Chicago, 320 S. Plymouth Court. Tickets to the 11 a.m. event are $40 and do not include a copy of Garrett’s new book. That program will feature both Garrett and Chicago broadcast personality Mancow Muller.
“When the Balls Drop” is Garrett’s comedic take on how to approach the second half of life — including both the challenges and joys of dealing with middle age.
