Shepherd wins custody fight with ex-husband

Chicago native Sherri Shepherd may have lost her job co-hosting “The View,” but the TV personality has scored a win in a courtroom.

Shepherd will maintain primary physical custody of her 9-year-old son, Jeffrey, Jr., despite her ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley’s claims she is not a fit parent for their young son.

Tarpley sought full custody in the Los Angeles County Court, but a judge was unmoved by his allegations that Shepherd frequently neglected Jeffrey, Jr. — and let stand her position as the child’s principal guardian.

Separately, Shepherd turned to Twitter to ask fans to “keep the prayers coming,” in a reference to her current fight with estranged husband Lamar Sally as they battle toward divorce.
