Interim Chief Pridgen can’t stop burning bridges at Firehouse 51.

“Red Rag the Bull” is the title of Tuesday’s “Chicago Fire” episode, and you’ll know why after watching an exclusive sneak peek at the end of this post.

Pridgen (Matthew Del Negro), who’s filling in for stay-at-home dad Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker), makes a tactical error during an apartment fire, according to the network’s episode description. Being the stand-up guy that he is (eye roll), Pridgen wastes no time throwing Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) under the bus for his mistake.

Pridgen tries to rope Firehouse 51 antagonist Welch (Kenny Johnson) into his plan, setting the stage for Welch to either do his boss’s bidding or do the right thing while mending fences with his rivals. Judging by the look on Welch’s face in the clip below, I’m thinking his allegiances might be shifting.

Outside the firehouse, Mouch (Christian Stolte) learns his donation to a fertility clinic has resulted in a child. Mini-Mouch is now a young adult who wants to meet him. Can’t wait to see Platt’s (Amy Morton) reaction. Also, Brett (Kara Killmer) and Cruz (Joe Minoso) take Dawson (Monica Raymund) out on a double date, while Boden continues to be on dad duty, tending to his newborn son.

“Chicago Fire” airs at 9 p.m. Tuesdays on WMAQ-Channel 5.
