Bears relish a sack attack
Originally published Nov. 24, 1985
The Bears had more than nine sacks three times last year. Their high this season is seven.
If they’re going to hit double figures, this would be a likely week. The Falcons have allowed a league-high 48 sacks and had to change players at three offensive line positions last Sunday.
Two of the changes involve left tackle, where Eric Sanders will line up across from Bear leader Richard Dent, and right guard, where Joe Pellegrini will take on runner-up Steve McMichael. Neither Sanders nor Pellegrini started early in the season.
The Bears rank third with 45 sacks.
