Chicago Bears great Otis Wilson — seen back in his playing days — was part of the production team on a new ’85 Super Bowl-winning Bears documentary.

UPDATE: Due to a technical glitch, the ’85 Bears Super Bowl documentary will now air at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 on WTTW-Channel 11. The film was originally slated to air this week.

Fans of the amazing ’85 Chicago Bears team that won Our Town’s last Super Bowl will get to relive that great season via Channel 11. “85: The Greatest Team in Pro Football History,” is a new feature-length documentary on the Bears from that memorable year.

Director-producer Scott Prestin and his team crafted a number of never-before-told tales about the team and that season — including interviews with team stalwarts like coach Mike Ditka, Mike Singletary, Jim McMahon, Dan Hampton and Steve McMichael. In addition, the film includes a true Who’s Who of Bears fans commenting on the ’85 team, including President Barack Obama, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and actors and former Chicagoans Bill Murray, Jeremy Piven, Joe Mantegna and George Wendt, plus sportscaster Michael Wilbon.

One of the key members of Prestin’s production team is another key Bears figure: Otis Wilson, the legendary linebacker and a key player in the dominant 4-6 defense from the Super Bowl XX-winning Bears. As we remember, Wilson was a soloist on “TheSuper Bowl Shuffle,” which remains the only hit single created by a professional sports team.

For Bears fans and for many Chicagoans, “85: The Greatest Team in Pro Football History” is sure to bring back a ton of very happy memories.
