On a team full of characters, The Fridge was the most entertaining player on the 1985 Bears team

One of the many reasons that the 1985 Chicago Bears team is so celebrated is the long line of characters.

From the head coach, to the punky QB, and that legendary defense, everyone had fun on that team.

However, according to Dan Hampton, there was one player who was clearly the most entertaining: William “The Refrigerator” Perry.

It’s an image that’s easy enough to picture. Hampton, Payton,  and the rest of the guys crowded around a table as The Fridge throws back one chicken wing after another.

The team and the city are remembering that Super Bowl squad throughout the year as they celebrate the 30-year anniversary.
