A small fire broke out early Sunday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building on the Southwest Side.

About 12:10 a.m., fire crews responded to a small fire on the fifth floor of the building in the 2600 block of South California Avenue, Chicago police said.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, according to police.

The cause of the fire was not yet determined.
