The judges’ panel on “Dancing with the Stars” will feature a new but very familiar face when the hit ABC series returns Sept. 14 for Season 28.

Emmy Award winner and six-time “Dancing with the Stars” pro champ Derek Hough will be joining returning judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, replacing veteran head judge Len Goodman.

Goodman, unable to travel to the U.S. amid the coronavirus pandemic, will continue with the series, providing insight and expertise from his London home base.

Hough’s resume also includes his work as a judge on the NBC series “World of Dance” opposite Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo in 2017, and his role as Corny Collins in the network’s “Hairspray Live!” in 2016, opposite Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande and Harvey Fierstein.

The actor/dancer will head to Las Vegas in 2021 for “Derek Hough: No Limit,” his headlining residency at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

“DWTS,” with new host Tyra Banks, debuts at 7 p.m Sept. 14 on ABC.
