More than a dozen of Chicago’s 27 public beaches are under swim advisories or bans Friday morning ahead of the Labor Day weekend.

Oak Street Beach and Fargo Beach were closed to swimming due to dangerous surf, according to the Chicago Park District’s website. Eleven more beaches were under swim advisories for rough surf or water quality.

Beaches under the swim advisory are: Calumet, Foster, Haritgan, Helen Doria, Lane, Margaret T. Burroughs, Montrose, North Avenue, North Shore, Osterman and Tobey Prinz, the park district announced.

The 2016 beach season ends Monday.
