A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was walking at 12:03 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Waller when a silver car approached and a passenger fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the back and left eye and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
