A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 15-year-old was walking about 4:50 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Harrison when someone came up to him and fired shots, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in the right leg and knee and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
