A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

He got out of a vehicle about 9:30 p.m. and was standing on the parkway in the 5000 block of South Hoyne when someone shot at him from a passing white sedan, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in his lower back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
