A 17-year-old boy was shot Monday morning in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

He was walking in the 10300 block of South Aberdeen at 10:37 a.m. when he was shot in the lower left calf, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was taken in good condition to Roseland Hospital, police said.
