Man, girl shot in South Shore

A man and a teenage girl were both wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting early Tuesday on the South Side.

The 17-year-old girl was walking on the sidewalk about 12:50 a.m. in the 2600 block of East 73rd Street when she heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the back and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

A 21-year-old man also suffered a gunshot wound to the back and later showed up at Northwestern, where he was listed in good condition, according to police.
