A teenage boy was shot in the head Friday afternoon in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot inside a home about 3:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Langley, according to Chicago Police.

The 17-year-old was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

No one was in custody, police said.
