Two people were displaced in a small fire in a three-story apartment Saturday afternoon in northwest suburban Palatine.

The fire was contained in a single apartment with smoke flooding the second floor of the building, according to Palatine Fire Department. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire with a few fire extinguishers.

No one was injured in the fire, according to the department.
