Two women were shot Saturday night in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The women, ages 44 and 50, were standing at 6:53 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Artesian when they heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

The 44-year-old was struck in her abdomen, and the 50-year-old was shot in the right side of her body, police said. Both were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions were stabilized.
