Two teenagers were wounded in a shooting Friday evening in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened at 7:11 p.m. when two people fired at them from a silver Nissan as it drove by in the 5100 block of West Madison Street, according to Chicago Police.

A 17-year-old boy suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. A 19-year-old man was shot in the back and took himself to Rush Oak Park Hospital, but was later transferred to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in serious condition.
