2 wounded in Englewood shooting

Two people were shot Monday evening in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

About 6:55 p.m., a 19-year-old man was arguing with someone who was inside a white SUV in the 6100 block of South Sangamon Street, Chicago Police said.

The person from the SUV got out and fired shots, police said. The 19-year-old was shot in the wrist and a 71-year-old man caught in the fire was hit in his left leg.

Both were taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where their conditions stabilized, police said.
