Bears-Saints game could be flexed

The Bears were moved to prime time for the finale to the 2006 season when they played the Green Bay Packers on New Years Eve in a completely irrelevant contest. Dont tell that to the Packers, who won their fourth straight and parlayed the hot ending into success this season.

Dont look now but next Sundays meeting with the New Orleans Saints could be moved from its noon start. It depends on the playoff status of New Orleans, which is battling for an NFC wild-card position. Plenty goes into play in the decision, including tonights game in Minnesota between the Vikings and the Washington Redskins.

It doesnt mean the game will necessarily be moved into the prime-time spot. The game could also be pushed to a 3:15 p.m. kickoff. The NFL will make a decision Monday.
