P Brad Maynard was named the NFC’s special teams player of the week.

It must have been for catching the snaps from Pat Mannelly and otherwise performining flawlessly in a game in which the wind and cold led to Green Bay’s Jon Ryan dropping one snap and having two punts blocked.

Maynard made just four punts with an average of 35 yards and a net of 33. He dropped one inside the 20.

Teammate Devin Hester captured the award three times this season.
