Boat fishing at Powerton Lake will not open as scheduled Feb. 15, and will remain “closed indefinitely,” site super Stan Weimer said Thursday afternoon.
Bank fishing will continue, though the warm-water discharge remains off-limits while repairs continue at the discharge.
Too bad, in a winter like this, the reopening of boat fishing at the cooling lake near Pekin was the first sign of spring for many of us.
