Gilmore signs deal with Bucs

John Gilmore is officially a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He signed his three-year contract this morning after passing a team physical.

The Buccaneers have a visit upcoming with another tight end, Ben Troupe, as they work to overhaul the position. Gilmore was identified for his skill blocking.

The Bears will need to find a third tight end now, or give Fontel Mines an opportunity. Mines, the converted wide receiver from Virginia, spent most of last season on the practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster in December.
