SHARE Online applications up for Illinois resident deer hunters

Anxious deer hunters may begin filing online applications for 2008 resident-only firearm and muzzleloader deer permits first lotteries.

Deadline to apply for the first lotteries is April 30. In April, application forms will be mailed as usual to previous permit holders and the form PDF will be on the web site, but those who want to apply online using a credit card can now do so.

Go to http://dnr.state.il.us and click on the DNR Direct button on the top right side.

The 2008 firearm season dates:

Nov. 21-23 (first season)

Dec. 4-7 (second season)

2008 muzzleloader-only season dates:

Dec. 12-14
