AMMAN, Jordan–The Obama campaign plane landed here at 6:10 p.m. local time Monday after a long and uneventful flight, except for the abundant food and my new $49 air power cord not charging the battery of my MacBook. Finally, the poorly kept secret secret can be told officially–Obama makes a quick visit to Jordan before heading to Israel and Europe.

The man we are covering–Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), the presumptive Democratic nominee, is in Iraq. He catches up with us tomorrow.
