DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2009
In the morning, the President will depart Miami and travel to Sarasota, Florida. The departure from Miami International Airport and the arrival at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in Sarasota are open press.
The President will tour DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center in Arcadia. The tour is pooled press. The President will then deliver remarks at DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center, announcing Recovery Act funding for a variety of Smart Grid technologies that will modernize the nation’s electricity grid, enhance reliability, promote efficiency and allow for the integration of clean, renewable energy — all while helping consumers save money. The President’s remarks are pooled for TV and open to correspondents.
Later, the President will travel to Norfolk, Virginia to deliver remarks at a rally for Creigh Deeds at Old Dominion University. The Deeds campaign handled credentialing for this event; the deadline to request credentials has passed.
The President will return to the White House in the evening. The arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
