DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2009

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will host a Veterans Day breakfast in the East Room. The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend the breakfast. This is closed press.

Later, the President and the First Lady will visit Arlington National Cemetery. The President will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend the ceremony. This is open to pre-credentialed media only. Credentialing is being handled by Arlington National Cemetery Public Affairs; the deadline to request credentials has passed.

The President will then deliver remarks at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki will introduce the President. The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend. This event is open to pre-credentialed media only. Credentialing is being handled by Arlington National Cemetery Public Affairs; the deadline to request credentials has passed.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with his national security team on Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Situation Room. This meeting is closed press. Expected attendees include:
