WASHINGTON–Illinois Senate President John Cullerton (D-Chicago) met with members of the Illinois congressional delegation on Thurday on a trip here that included a fund-raiser Wednesday night for the state senate political committee.

I caught up with Cullerton, his wife Pam, state Sen. Dan Kotowski (D-Park Ridge) and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) as they were leaving the delegation meeting in Durbin’s Senate leadership offices in the Capitol. Durbin was taking them to meet Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nv.)

The fund-raiser was hosted by former Illinois state Sen. Gary LaPaille (D-Ill.), now a Washington lobbyist (LaPaille hosted a funder for Gov. Quinn earlier in the month) and Bernie Robinson, a lobbyist and former chief of the State of Illinois Washington office.
