WASHINGTON–After President Obama’s ninth meeting with his war council–the latest late last night–he will soon announce whether to send more troops to Afghanistan. Politico’s Mike Allen is reporting that “Obama is expected to address the nation TUESDAY, DEC. 1, on his new Afghanistan policy, likely in PRIME TIME, Playbook is told.” NBC is also reporting this morning that Obama has the information he needs and the decision will be in a week.
