Wild Wednesday: Sandhills peaking

SHARE Wild Wednesday: Sandhills peaking

Just in time for that post- or pre-Thanksgiving feast walk or outdoor outing, sandhill cranes are peaking at Jasper-Pulaski FWA southeast of Valparaiso, Ind.

I highly recommend going to see the sandhills. And this is probably the peak week or weekend to do it.

Fog limited the count Tuesday, but the estimate was high for the year at 14,500.
