Holy Cow...cheap beer!

Thanks to 312 Dining Diva for reminding us that today is the 11th Annual Toast to Harry Caray. Fans of the late Cubs announcer will be celebrating worldwide at 7 p.m., but local fans get a special treat.

All day today, you can stop into one of Harry Caray’s four locations (River North, Wrigleyville, Lombard and Rosemont) for 101-cent beers. In addition, the first 101 fans to arrive at any location will get a complimentary pair of replica glasses and a “Cubs Fan, Bud Man” hat. Harry’s wife, Dutchie, will lead the toast promptly at 7 p.m., with a round of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” immediately following.

We’ll let you guess the significance of that “101” number. Got it? Yeah, sorry ’bout that, Cubs fans. Have another drink.
