This morning’s bowl of cereal suddenly seems like “Oliver!”-esque gruel after looking at that. But then, pancakes are not just for breakfast anymore, as you can discover during National Pancake Week. The 312 Dining Diva ponders the flap about flapjacks and has this round-up of where to get your griddle on around Chicago during this “event.”

If you have trouble perfecting the art at home in the skillet, try Batter Blaster pancake batter in a whipped cream-like can. Just squirt it in the pan, wait and flip.
