WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8 AND SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2009

The President has no scheduled public events on Saturday.

On Sunday, the President will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico. The departure from the South Lawn is open press. He will arrive at Don Miguel Hidalgo Y Costilla International Airport in the evening. The arrival is open press.

After arriving, the President will attend a bilateral meeting with President Calderon of Mexico at the Cabanas Cultural Center. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting. President Obama will then attend a working dinner with President Calderon and Prime Minister Harper of Canada at the Cabanas Cultural Center. There will be a pool spray at the top of the dinner. The three leaders will then attend a cultural event at the Cabanas Cultural Center. The event will have travel pool coverage.

Schedule for Week of August 10, 2009

The President will attend a trilateral meeting President Calderon and Prime Minister Harper in Guadalajara on Monday. He will return to Washington in the evening.

On Tuesday, the President will travel to Portsmouth, New Hampshire to hold a town hall meeting on health insurance reform.

On Wednesday morning, the President will host a reception for Justice Sonia Sotomayor at the White House. In the afternoon, the President will host the Medal of Freedom ceremony at the White House.

On Thursday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Friday, August 14th, the First Family will visit the Bozeman area of Montana. On August 15th, they will travel to Yellowstone, Wyoming and Grand Junction, Colorado. They will then travel to the Grand Canyon and Phoenix, Arizona on August 16th. They will return to Washington, DC on Monday, August 17th.
