Bush grazer: Buck of the Week: Unplugged

Carl Simmons nabbed this Buck of the Week: Unplugged on Seventh Street in Winthrop Harbor, pilfering plants, on Dec. 12.

That’s one issue with deer in urban/suburban areas, or I should say too many deer in those settings–how they can eat or destroy vegetation.

But here is his first note:

I took these pictures on 12-12-09 In Winthrop Harbor on 7th St going to North Point Marina

I was intrigued enough to ask for more.

And it came:

It is by the Esda building on 7th St in Winthrop Harbor Il. Just west of the train station by North Point Marina. I have planted those bushes about 8 yrs ago. And never had any there he got most most of them as you can see.

BOTW: Unplugged is a weekly celebration of live big bucks around Chicago outdoors. It runs Sundays in the outdoors page of the Sun-Times. An extended online version is usually posted here Saturday or Sunday.
