Paraguay striker Salvador Cabanas is in serious condition after he was

shot in the head during an attack in a bar, according to Mexican authorities.

The 29-year-old goal-scorer was attacked while in the bathroom at a bar in the south of Mexico City.

The early report is that Cabanas is conscious, but has a heart problem doctors are working to rectify.
