Anderson signs tender

Mark Anderson signed his one-year tender offer from the Bears. As always, terms were not disclosed.

The Bears need big things from Anderson this season. In other words, he needs to put up the kind of numbers he hasn’t had since his rookie season, when he had 12 sacks, the most ever by a Bears rookie and most by a Bear since Richard Dent’s 13.5 in 1993. In the three years since, he’s had 9.5.

With Adewale Ogunleye and Alex Brown gone, Anderson is expected to play a larger role this season.
