WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

SATURDAY, MAY 29, SUNDAY, MAY 30, AND MONDAY, MAY 31, 2010

The First Family will spend the weekend in Chicago, Illinois. There are no public events scheduled.

On Monday, the President will participate in a Memorial Day Ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. This event is open to pre-credentialed media. In the evening, the First Family will return to Washington, D.C. The departure from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

Schedule for Week of May 31, 2010

On Tuesday, the President will meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel at the White House. He will also welcome President Garcia of Peru for a meeting at the White House. Peru is an important partner with the United States and the President looks forward to the opportunity to discuss a wide range of bilateral, hemispheric, and global issues with President Garcia.

On Wednesday, the President will meet with General Odierno. He will then travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and hold an event at Carnegie Mellon University. In the evening, the President and First Lady will host a concert in the East Room honoring Paul McCartney, who will be awarded the 3rd Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress.

On Thursday, the President will attend and deliver remarks at the Secretary of State’s reception in honor of the Indian delegation to the United States-India Strategic Dialogue, which will meet at the State Department earlier that day. The President’s strong support of the Strategic Dialogue and of this inaugural meeting reflects his commitment to furthering a strategic partnership with India as we seek to address global challenges.

On Friday, the President will welcome the Major League Soccer Men’s Champion Real Salt Lake to the White House.
