May 5th, 2010 – Continuing her outreach to Administration agencies, First Lady Michelle Obama will visit the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), her 17th agency visit, to thank and greet staff and deliver remarks.
In the evening, Mrs. Obama will join the President at a reception and celebration of Cinco de Mayo at the White House.
May 7th, 2010 – First Lady Michelle Obama will deliver the keynote speech to the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum 16th Annual National Issues Conference held at the Washington Hilton Hotel. Dr. Jill Biden will introduce Mrs. Obama for the 1:00 PM speech. This portion of the conference will be pooled press.
At 3:00 PM, First Lady Michelle Obama will host a Mother’s Day event in the East Room of the White House. Mrs. Obama will welcome Former First Lady Rosalyn Carter and her granddaughter Sarah Carter, Tricia Nixon Cox, and Susan and Anne Eisenhower back to the White House. Guests will also include spouses and mothers of troops and young women from Mrs. Obama’s mentoring program, who will be accompanied by notable women in their lives.
