DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, MAY 10, 2010
In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. Later, he will meet with members of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. Later, the President will meet with a number of Cabinet members and senior staff in the White House Situation Room to review BP efforts to stop the oil leak as well as to decide on next steps to ensure all is being done to contain the spread, mitigate the environmental impact and provide assistance to affected states, including individuals, businesses, and communities. Later in the afternoon, the President will meet separately with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner and Secretary of Energy Chu in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
In the afternoon, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will hold a press briefing with General Stanley McChrystal and Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry at the White House.
