WASHINGTON–GOP White House hopeful Mitt Romney hits Chicago on Thursday for a high end fund-raiser hosted by Susan Crown (of the Crown family) and her husband William Kunkler.
The Oct. 27 event is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Ivy Room at Tree Studios, 12 East Ohio. There is a sliding scale for donors: if you are a “bundler” pledging to raise $25,000 you are an event co-chair who will get a private dinner with Romney. An under-40 Romney backer can get in for $100.
Romney has the strongest Illinois organization of any of the Republican 2012 contenders and the list of his co-hosts for his Chicago event shows fund-raising fire-power:

There’s a lot of political money in the Chicago area: First Lady Michelle Obama is in Chicago on Tuesday for a fund-raiser for the 2012 re-election bid and healthy eating events with Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
The Chicago Sun-Times Stella Foster reported that another GOP White House hopeful, Herman Cain, will headline a fund-raiser Tuesday.
