Chris Young has quite the tale in the State Journal-Register of a young hunter being attacked by what he described as a mountain lion over the weekend in Pike County.

Of the three confirmed mountain lions in Illinois in modern times, the most famous one comes from Chicago outdoors when a young male was gunned down in a North Side alley in April of 2008.

If the attack described by Young is proven, it would be the first such attack in modern times in Illinois.
