DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2011

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President and the Vice President will meet with Senate Democratic Leadership in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later, the President will welcome the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears to the White House to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Super Bowl victory. In 1986, the team’s White House reception was canceled due to the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy. This event is open press.

Afterwards, the President will host Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia at the White House. During his meeting with the Prime Minister, the President looks forward to discussing America’s strong support for Tunisia’s historic transition to democracy, as well as a broad range of bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest. The President also welcomes the opportunity to highlight the strong bonds of friendship between the American and Tunisian people. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the meeting with statements.
