The Democratic Party of DuPage County – DPDC – has announced that former Governor Howard Dean will be the keynote speaker at their annual Presidents’ Day Gala to be held at the Drury Lane Oak Brook at 5:00PM Sunday, February 13, 2011. The gala draws hundreds of prominent Democrats from throughout the greater Chicago area. Other speakers and honored guests will include Governor Pat Quinn, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon, Secretary of State Jesse White, and Attorney General Lisa Madigan.

“We are so pleased to have Governor Dean at this year’s gala.” Said Bob Peickert, Chairman of the DPDC. “He is the architect so many of the political grassroots organizing principles you see at work throughout the country today, and he is a tremendously inspiring speaker.”
