Buck of the Week: All-time favorite unplugged

Of the many wonderful nominations for BOTW: Unplugged over the years, this one is my favorite so far.

Normally, I would just say click here to see the BOTW: Unplugged. That’s what I have been doing most often since the Sun-Times redid the online outdoors page along with an upgrade of the whole site.

However, some things deserve more.

Say what Ralph Greenslade caught while out with his oldest daughter, Jamie, and her dog, Hobart, on Wednesday after the Blizzard of 2011.

They were in Blue Star Memorial Woods Forest Preserve in Glenview when the Sun-Timesman caught this shot of “Hobart unplugged and a few deer unplugged, too.”

Hobart was so caught up in his business, so to speak, that he wasn’t even tempted to chase the deer.

Considering it is the first week of February, I have no idea if the deer are bucks or does, but it is my favorite photo of all-time for BOTW: Unplugged, the weekly celebration of live big bucks around Chicago outdoors.
