WASHINGTON—Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel’s political operation–the “New Chicago Committee” is bankrolled by four major Democratic donors, disclosures filed Wednesday with the Illinois Board of Elections show.

The New Chicago Committee is being run by longtime political operative Tom Bowen and was created earlier in the month to fund Emanuel backed candidates and causes, with the aldermanic runoffs in April the first order of business for what will grow into the Emanuel machine.

The founding donors of the New Chicago Committee are:

$10,000 from Newswebs’ Fred Eychaner, one of the biggest Democratic donors in the nation. He gave $100,000 to Emanuel’s mayoral campaign.

$20,000 ($10,000 each) from Advisory Researchs’ David Heller and wife Diane. The couple put down $200,000 for Emanuel’s mayoral bid.

$10,000 from New World Ventures’ Jay R. Pritzker, known as J.B.
