WASHINGTON–President Obama and First Lady Michelle are traveling to Brazil, Chile and El Salvador with daughters Malia and Sasha, Mrs. Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson and the girls godmother, Eleanor Kaye Wilson. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Wilson, who lives in the Chicago area, are close friends. Malia and Sasha are on Spring break.

In 2009, Obama appointed Wilson to the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships.
