News broke out of Sweden Tuesday morning that center Marcus Kruger will be joining the injury-plagued Blackhawks.
Multiple outlets reported that Kruger, whom general manager Stan Bowman wanted with the Hawks at the beginning of the season, will join the team by Wednesday’s game against the Florida Panthers.
Kruger has been described by the Hawks brass as a reliable two-way center in the mold of Dave Bolland.
With Bolland out with a concussion and Patrick Sharp recently injuring his left knee, the Hawks definitely need to fill out their roster up front.
Bolland has made little progress after getting elbowed in the head by Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Pavel Kubina earlier this month.
