PEORIA, Ill.–If you’re a deer hunter, after reading the Sunday Sun-Times or going to church this morning, head down to the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic at Peoria Civic Center.
There were walls of trophy deer heads and aisles of people.
It was a major scene when I was there yesterday afternoon.
I can’t recommend it highly enough. It is well worth the drive.
And to only pay $7 for parking right at the main entrance, well that is something in its own right.
I wish I had allotted more time on Saturday or could go back today.
