WASHINGTON–While Newt Gingrich spends the week digging out of the hole he dug himself slamming fellow Republican Rep. Paul Ryan’s Medicare overhaul plan–he deplored “right wing” social engineering–the Democratic National Committee released a web spot on Thursday to rub it in.
From DNC National Press Secretary Hari Sevugan: “If there’s one lesson we learned from the ferocity with which Republicans attacked their supposed ‘ideas man’ and the speed with which he caved, it’s that dismantling Medicare is the new litmus test for any would-be Republican presidential nominee.”
